My Sister May Kill Me!

This weekend I had the urge to get out of the house. I randomly decided to go to Old Navy to see if they had jeggings. I wanted to try them on and see if I could pull them off, or see if I would look like the total geek with the poofy bangs that I was in elementary school. For any youngin's reading, jeggings have been around before. But they were nothing like they are now! "Jean leggings" as my sister and I called them were pretty snazzy and they looked sweet paired with our Sam and Libby bow ballet flats that we had in EVERY COLOR! They also went with our multitudes of Keds. (Wow I feel old posting all of this!)
We got our pairs of Jeggings at Target. I went with a dark blue wash. My sister on the other hand went with the flashy light early 90's rinse. She was most definitely a child of the 90's!
She was obsessed with her Jeggings! She wanted to wear them all of the time. EVERY. DAY. Here she is playing in our back yard wearing them.

They even came on vacation with us! Check out my mom's killer hair (Nice bow mom!) and our cool windbreakers that went with our swooshy pants!

Eventually she wore her Jeggings so much that they got holes in the knees and my mom retired them. The next year when we went school shopping, my sister requested the same pair of beloved Jeggings. Unfortunately the fad had passed and Jeggings were no more. My mom had to explain to her that they didnt make them anymore. She was not a happy camper!

Since then, we have often teased her for her love of her Jean Leggings. When we first saw that Jeggings were back, we all had a good laugh. Though she hasnt mentioned it, I know she is secretly VERY excited about their return. I EXPECT her to come home with a pair any day now.

I also expect her to come home today after reading this at work... and rubbing my face into the carpet for posting these pics! (She's a lot tougher than I am!)

She Let Herself Go...

I have a confession to make.

I have let myself go...

This is a sad realization for me because, lets face it, who wants to admit that!? I always pondered how this happens... well now I know. Kids make this happen! When you wake up in the morning and you dont immediately get dressed because you think "I'm just going to end up with peaches spit on me anyways." Instead of reaching in the closet for something cute to wear, I will pull out something mediocre. A tank top and shorts, or something comfortable like a baggy sundress and flip flops. With a closet full of cute heels and wedges collecting dust, the bottoms of my favorite rainbow flip flops are wearing out.

Now I know it is summer, and summer is all about the days of flip flops and breezy dresses. But I CAN. NOT. let this continue into the fall and winter. I can't wear yoga pants every day (I dont even like yoga!) I WILL NOT ALLOW IT!

Seriously! What would Stacy and Clinton say about this!?

I have to stop this before it gets out of control! Before I find myself in the 360 degree mirror on What Not to Wear saying, "I think my sweat pants are cuuuute!"
I am vowing to stop slacking in the appearance department. You are all my witnesses!

I will not wear a pony tail every day. Once a week, just like on Mean Girls! =)
I will put thought into what I wear. It will be an outfit.
I wont wear flip flops daily
I will put on makeup!

I know this probably all sounds shallow, but I think keeping up my appearance is important. It makes me feel good knowing that I look put together and presentable. I dont want to come across as frumpy and run down... although there are quite a few days when I feel that way!

I'm going to channel my inner Jackie O, Reece Witherspoon, and Katie Holmes.
If they can look put together and be a mom at the same time... THEN SO CAN I!

Here it goes, I am off to fix my hair!!

Lets Just Skip August

And move right on to September!
I am so ready for fall it is unbelievable!

September begins...

Georgia Football! I cant wait to take Keating to his first tailgate outside of my belly!! He even has preppy little Georgia tailgating clothes to wear!
Sweater weather! I can't wait to bust out my black sweaters, my staple for cold weather!
I want to get this for my little man! He looks great in navy!

And dress him up for his first halloween as a precious lion. I know I will only be able to dress him up as something cuddly this year. I'm sure by next year he will want something with a gun or sword... if his dad has anything to do with it, I can be sure of it.

I'm thinking about trying the Jegging. Thoughts?
( I have a fun story for the jegging for another post)

I think they would look great with my cowboy boots

In September, the leaves will begin to change. My most favorite time of year!
My best friend will be coming home from her year long missionary trip in Romania!

And two of my friends are having babies!!!

Most importantly of all... It wont be 100 FREAKING DEGREES outside!!!!!

Has my butt gotten bigger??

Or do they make bathing suits MUCH smaller than they used to???

This is the dilemma I was faced with when I thought I would be brave and try on swim suits today at Target. BAD IDEA! Like, REALLY bad idea.

I think that a medium is a pretty average size right? It shouldnt be made to fit a tiny 12 year old girl.

Maybe I'll just buy a new sun hat... cause I know I dont have a fat head!

A little nudity!

Not me... my shoes!!!!
I finally found these beauties on Macys.com! I just wanted to tell yall how much I adore them! I think every girl needs a pair of nude pumps. They are also pretty comfortable, and Im a wimp when it comes to shoes! With two gift cards, I got them for $9 out of pocket! Not so bad!

My other recommendation/ newest obsession is...The Vampire Diaries book series. I know what you're thinking "I dont know if I can handle anymore vampire stuff..." Well you're missing out! The books are great and came out way before Twilight... I think Stephenie Meyer even "borrowed" a few ideas in writing Edward's character. Plus, these have way more action!

And, if you like that, then you should check out the show. Whats more fun than a vampire this yummy'!?

and... this post is being cut short thanks to keating who just leaked pee on me out of his diaper... Awesome!

How I Dread... The Shred!

I am on day 2 of the 30 day shred, and today I loathe Jillian Michaels more than I did yesterday! I havent had a tough workout since before I found out I was pregnant......umm..... last May. Sad! Lets just say that day 1 of Shredding about KILLED me... and I didnt even use hand weights! My 5lb weights were too heavy, Instead I used water bottles! How pathetic!

I will look like this in 30 days... HAHAHAHA!
BUT Im getting back on the wagon and hoping to look good in all of my Spring time dresses.

Speaking of dresses... I am debating this number from my favorite cheap dress website Chadwicks.
I wanted it in Navy, but navy is sold out. Funny thing is I used to hate navy... now I just love it!

OBSESSED!

I NEED THESE!!!!
I can only find them at macys and the store I went to today only had a size 11. Well Im definitely no 11! Tomorrow I'm on a special mission to find these babies!

Dear Target...

Please stop making precious things that I cannot wear. It is not fair.

Particularly This

And this...

Although... these little beauties can be added to my collection now! I think they're a pretty good knock off for Jack Rogers! I will have to buy them and compare. You know... do a little research!
**Thank you to everyone for your honesty on my renovation post. The bed is rather large and very heavy. Hence, why it is still in the room and hasnt been moved! =) After the baby gets here and things calm down I might try to replace it with something smaller.

As for depersonalizing the house, I lived with a very impersonal house for the first year our house was on the market. I took down personal photos, and left only the landscapes and store bought things. It didnt seem to make much of a difference, so I added all of the pictures back up after we painted because I was bored.

Maybe Im going about this the wrong way, and should do everything possible to sell it. Im just sort of "over it" at this point. But, as one reader mentioned I dont want to live in a house that Im not happy with to hopefully attract a buyer.
Just HOPEFULLY, someone will eventually like what we have done. I mean, it has to happen EVENTUALLY... right? RIGHT?!

Thank you Target!

For stating the obvious...
1. I am too pregnant to wear the current cute clothes you have so eagerly put on the racks.
2. That it is freaking 20 degrees and much too cold to wear them anyways!!!

I have a thing for yellow and black, so when I saw these things on the rack... my heart skipped a little beat.

Definitely wont be fitting anytime soon!
I can probably still swing this. In the store, it has a great tweed texture.

I looked like a giant polka dotted blimp in this... seriously!

Love the frilly neckline

So perfect for spring! Now if it would only warm up about 50 degrees!
