Or do they make bathing suits MUCH smaller than they used to???
This is the dilemma I was faced with when I thought I would be brave and try on swim suits today at Target. BAD IDEA! Like, REALLY bad idea.
I think that a medium is a pretty average size right? It shouldnt be made to fit a tiny 12 year old girl.
Maybe I'll just buy a new sun hat... cause I know I dont have a fat head!

LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteHAha! I swear I was asking myself the same question at Target last week!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go with the whole they make smaller bathing suit thing. For sanity's sake! I'm RIGHT there with you!
ReplyDeleteI want to get one of those suits that covers up the belly button area...like the one that Paris Hilton wears...but 14 sizes bigger! At least my stupid stretch marks will be covered!
ReplyDeleteI think Target just has bad lighting. ;) I had the same problem with Target's bathing suits - all joking aside. I ended up splurging on the Juicy Couture Bandeau One Piece and it was worth every single penny. They don't have it anymore, but this is similar...http://www.zappos.com/juicy-couture-y62825-halter-swimdress-black?zlfid=111. Don't pass out over the price... it is seriously so flattering and comfortable!!!
ReplyDeletewell you need to take me with you! And your butt isnt big, you still fit in you old jeans! You just didnt try on the right suits! Give yourself a break, you have a baby that isnt even 3 months old!
ReplyDeleteUgh....I just posted about bathing suits too! :) I am definitely not brave enough to try any on though. But I would recommend looking at Land's End bathing suits. Though I haven't purchased and/or tried one on yet, I feel like they're made for women's bodies instead of tiny twelve-year-old girl bodies like Target, J.Crew, etc. etc. etc. (a.k.a. all of the places I used to be able to buy a bathing suit!) Best of luck! ;)
ReplyDeleteI always pretend bathing suits don't exist unless I'm going on vacation. Too bad Vegas is coming up at the end of June. Now I have no choice if I intend to lay by the pool with everyone else. I'll just leave the potential shopping to right before I leave so I don't have to think about it.
ReplyDeleteBathing suits are DEFINITELY smaller than they used to be! I saw suits at Target the other day though, and they were super cute.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU--apparently all women's bathing suits are made to fit 12 year olds!! I have the same problem! Oh I also have this problem on the other end with the top--they are made to fit women who have enhancements--which I clearly do NOT! (although, I'm thinking about it at this point)
ReplyDeleteI know! I've learned to buy expensive suits just because they fit so much better.
ReplyDeleteYou are hilarious, girl! I've never liked the bathing suits at Target. Maybe try somewhere else. At least you're nursing still, right? And that's got to keep burning the calories. LUCKY! :) Free, easy work-outs everyday.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on finding a suit, and so sorry about your disappointment yesterday.
i HATE bathing suit shopping.
ReplyDeletegap sometimes has cute suits.
i often go to target and leave crying (not really. well maybe) because their clothes are SO frickin' cute..but made to fit children.
