This week has gone by so slowly. Over the weekend I plan to do a little sewing, a little painting, and a little photography of my niece.
I dont know if I have ever mentioned it before, but I have a bachelors of fine arts in photography and printmaking. I wanted to be a child photographer, but in art school, that wasn't taken very seriously. Sadly, after getting a degree in what I absolutely loved, I was burnt out. It was no longer fun for me. When you are getting critiqued for one of your passions, it tends to take the fun out. After I graduated, I didn't even pursue it. I figured that I had a degree to hang on my wall and that was enough. I think I am going to start exploring it a lot more, starting this weekend. Here are a few of my favorite photos of my niece Reece, and some other faves thrown in for good measure. Enjoy!
I totally understand getting burnt out on what you love. I love doing art but when I was a graphic design major my professors seemed to enjoy killing everything I loved about it. I took a break and when I came back to it I loved it again! I'm glad you're rediscovering and I hope you will share more with us!
