Five on Friday!

Today I am linking up with the ladies at

 1. Can you believe that it is the last weekend before Christmas?? Do you have all of your Christmas shopping done? I think I am actually nearing the end of the list and I really don't know what I would do without Amazon Prime!
2. Speaking of gifts, I have yet to wrap any because Archer would quickly have them all unwrapped from under the tree.
I'm excited to start gift wrapping because I stocked up on red striped ribbon and glitter washi tape a while back. I think wrapping presents is one of my favorite things about Christmas.
3. Last weekend I was feeling particularly festive and wanted to try these "better than salt dough ornaments". Umm what a disaster. They looked fantastic until we baked them. Maybe we will try again this weekend and let them air dry.
4. I keep hoping that we will have a white Christmas. I had never experienced a white Christmas until two years ago and it made that Christmas so special. Then I am quickly reminded of what happens to Southerners when it snows. We wipe out the grocery stores and forget how to drive. Our interstates are frozen over, and it is pretty much a disaster.

 5. "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!" This week, Keating had his first school performance. He originally told us that he didn't want to sing the songs because they were too long. He also said he had to stand up too long and his legs got tired, so he "may lay down on the floor during the performance". Well we were quite surprised when he basically lead the singing by being the LOUDEST kid in the whole performance. At one point his face even started to turn red from singing so loudly. Listen for the loud kid... that's him!

  1. Stopping over from 5 on Friday :) I am with you on the wrapping - I had almost all my shopping done by December, but I haven't wrapped a thing yet! I was hoping we'd have a white Christmas, too, being that I am in the north and it's been snowing like crazy, but now they're calling for rain, which is such a bummer. No one wants a rainy Christmas!

BTW, we had the same ornament experience with the applesauce cinnamon ornaments last year. Great until we baked them. Ornament Fail. Oops! Happy Holidays!

  2. I love that picture of the wrapped presents! I wish I was better about wrapping. I feel like I wait until the last minute and then just throw it together and stick on a bow! Happy Holidays!
