Summer is so hectic!

I thought summer was a time when you were supposed to relax and catch up from the chaos of the other 9 months of the year!? We are already in JULY! Its nuts I tell ya!

We are already teething in our house. Seriously... where has time gone?? My baby cant be old enough to be getting teeth. But, sadly its true!

I'm apologizing in advance. Life is crazy right now, and I may not have time to blog much. I am currently packing up our house to move. I dont want to say where we are going just yet, out of fear of jinxing something. But lets just say if it all works out, it would be sweet! So I'll fill you in later as I know more.

We also have to get ours rented out STAT! If you have any advice for successfully renting out your house to people that dont trash it and leave you high and dry, I'd love to hear it! We are new to the whole landlord thing!

Here's a pic I took of Keating when I did some 4 month portraits of him. I could eat him up!

... and baby is crying... naptime is over.

  1. We just became landlords about 3 months ago. Make sure you get a security deposit (in case they tear something up), get some references, and employment info. And an iron clad lease. You can get some pretty good ones online if you have the time to browse!

  4. Awww!!! How could you resist that precious face?!
Also, as far as the busy during summer thing...I am convinced that this is why we have a winter....it is God's way of forcing us to stay inside and slow down!

  9. I work in commercial real estate and would be happy to answer any questions you have. I also agree with poster #1: check references, get a one month's rent security deposit, make sure you have a very good lease, be professional about the whole thing, and I would even recommend doing a background check (and/or googling your renter)! Usually, you can get background checks for pretty cheap. Also, every state has different laws so make sure you use a Georgia lease.

  10. You have such a little cutie for a son! You truly are blessed. Sorry to hear that summer also seems to be flying by for you. I was excited that it was for me, we are due with our first baby in October so I can't wait! Good luck with the move to your new place & I hope you find someone "reliable" to rent your home from you.
