Dear Redneck at Wal-Mart...

Dear Redneck Employee at Wal-Mart and any other moron,

Apparently your mother didnt teach you any manners, so I think it is my civic duty to do so. When you came up as I browsed the baby aisle and asked my child's name, I cheerfully told you. I said "Keating" (nearly hyperventilating that you touched my baby's foot.) As you responded with "KEEETIN? Hmm, he's gonna wanna go by his middul name. "What's his middul name?" I fought the urge to say something condescending. So I replied with "Bradford" as I tried to ignore you, because at this point, you were getting on my nerves and you had already proved your stupidity. When you said " Weyul maybe he can go by Brad" I shortly responded with "No.... his NAME is KEATING" And if you couldnt stick your foot any further in your toothless mouth... you thought an appropriate response was "Weyul, he's gonna hayyte you as a teenager!"

I am proud of myself for only retaliating with "That's a pretty rude thing to say" and walking away. Because if I said what I was thinking, I would have been a lot more blunt. I would have started with "What do you know about a family name you dumb hick? I'm sure the only name passed down in your family is BUBBA! Why do you think it is appropriate to offer your personal opinions on my child's name?"

Which brings me to my next point... the morons. Why is it that people like yourself feel it necessary to say stupid things to people with babies or pregnant women??? If you met an adult would you immediately say "wow, that name sucks, you should go by your middle name!" Of course you wouldnt, that would be rude! So what makes it okay for you to say it to a baby!?

On to the pregnant women... it is NOT OKAY to make a comment about how big or small a women is when she is carrying a baby. Would you approach a lady and say "wow, you're pretty big! or wow you're so small, are you sure you're eating enough? NO, YOU WOULDNT. Therefore, it is also inappropriate to say that to a pregnant woman. What is it about people when they see babies and pregnant bellies? They just cant keep their thoughts and hands to themselves. Which reminds me. DONT TOUCH MY BABY OR MY PREGNANT BELLY WITH YOUR NASTY HANDS. DISGUSTING!

  4. Ugh people always try to shorten my name and my son's name....I should start just making up new, insulting names for those people and see how they like it when someone doesn't like their name lol!

I just ignore these types of strangers - if they say they dont like the name I just walk away.

  18. Wow, that is so past rude. I LOLed at your Bubba comment... awesome! I swear, people just LOVE to share their opinions on baby names. I either get "cool name" or "oh..." when I tell them Knox's name.

And I JUST posted on the same thing with psychos touching my baby! We just spent the week in Florida, and I kid you not, he was reached for by no less than five people when we were at Universal Studios (two caught him). I had to pull his little arm back and said "Don't touch him!" more than once. Oy. It makes me cringe to think about it.
