Baby shower recap!

I am glad to say, that the baby shower was a complete success! Everything turned out beautiful and baby Gates has a lot of new cool stuff! I even got a little educated with my baby gear! The shower had a blue, green and brown theme throughout, everything turned out so cute! Here are some photos to recap! Excuse some of them being dark... I didnt have my flash on and I dont feel like editing them!

Here is a monogram canvas that I painted for baby Gates.

Co-host Catherine made this cute baby boy banner!
Missy got gorgeous flowers in green and white. They smelled incredible!

She also ordered these adorable cookies that were not only precious, but also DELICIOUS!

She also made this awesome diaper cake! By far the cutest one I have ever seen!

A view of the room with the tissue paper pom poms. This is only a few gifts, when everyone got there they covered the majority of the living room!

Missy's mom had a cute baby book as the guest book. Everyone wrote messages to baby Gates.
I made these little fabric flag pendants. The rods for them ended up being to short, and I had to improvise... with macaroni noodles! Oops!

With the left over scrap fabric I made a little fabric banner

Delicious cupcakes courtesy of Missy

I should have taken a photo after the food was on the table... Silly me! We had a nice spread of delicious food!
Here is the mother to be holding up a sweet silver baby cup! Cheers!
And FINALLY! I can show my gift! When I first found out that Michelle was pregnant, I knew I wanted to give them something special, personal, and definitely handmade. I decided to attempt my second quilt. I asked both parents what college team the baby would be a fan of, and of course both answered with their respective schools... Georgia Tech and Auburn. I decided to combine the allegiances since the baby would be forced to cheer for both! Luckily the schools had navy blue in common, so that helped to coordinate things. Not as beautiful as red and black, but not so shabby!!

I tried my hand at appliqueing his initials on. It was much harder than I thought, but I think it turned out nice.
