A Breech Baby Update

I went for my 36 week Dr's appointment this morning and it seems that Archer's sense of direction has improved. An ultrasound confirmed that he is now head down. The dr said that he is not fully engaged, but he is headed in the right direction. If he keeps this up we will be doing things the old fashioned way.

I am a little scared... the ultrasound tech told me he is already measuring at 6lbs. I know that those things arent always accurate, but with possibly 4 weeks left to go, thats a lot of growing room! yikes! Keating was only 6lbs 7oz and that was tough enough!! Maybe he will come early like his brother. I am just praying for a healthy baby and a super fast recovery this go round.

Thanks to everyone who commented on your c-section experiences, even though some of them scared the bejesus out of me, I do appreciate your honesty. Now with time running against me, I need to get his nursery finished!!!

  1. YAY for his head being down. My daughter was 6lbs7oz and her labor and deliver was tough, I tore really bad, she broke my tail bone, they had to use the vacuum, the forceps, and I pushed for 30 minutes. My son was 7lbs110z. I pushed three times and he was out, I didn't tear at all, it was a piece of cake compared to my first labor and delivery. Good luck!!

  3. Great news! Like I said before, my last was breech and I wish I would've tried things at home to get her to turn like you did. This baby is now already breech too...if she stays this way, I will try what you tried! You give me hope:)
