Row Row Row My Boat...

Im going to need a boat to get home from work today... seriously. All of the roads leading to my house are currently closed due to flooding. Cars and houses are under water. Here are some pics.

Thank the GOOD LORD that I am not getting married this October... this is the land that backs up to our wedding site. I couldnt get a pic of the site because its completely under water.

Tons of roads are flooded like this. I had to take 4 alternate routes through neighborhoods to get to my destination because everything is closed and there are newly formed rivers everywhere. My sister in law just passed a fire truck with a rescue boat! We dont live in a flood zone either... we live in Northern Georgia where there are mountains! I hope we see the sun again soon!

  1. Oh boy! That is crazy. I grew up in Knoxville, TN and we had some serious flooding too, but that was typically in the Spring. Be careful.

  5. Driving to work this morning was insane due to the 75 @ the 85 merge being flooded and my alternate routes (along 285 to spaghetti junction) was a no go as well. I hope this all stops soon and not on Sunday like the news says.

Or at least they cancel all non emergency/hospital related jobs tomorrow.

  7. I know...I'm praying for the sun! My sister lives in Atlanta too, and it's been tough for her to get to work too. And she hasn't had power! Hope you've at least got power and were able to make it home tonight!
