So far, 28 is great! Thursday Brad took me out for a dinner date. We ate at a local cajun restaurant where I over indulged in shrimp and grits and bread pudding. Weight watcher points..... what weight watcher points? We had a great time just the two of us, which doesnt happen often and have decided that every other week we are going to attempt to start having date nights again. I cant wait for all of that fun! My boys showered me with presents and I got my very own Kindle. I cant wait to get started using it! Anyone have any book suggestions?
Friday we celebrated with my family and dined on Papa Johns and wine. Fancy! My dad uncorked the good stuff in my honor.
On Saturday, my sister and I threw our parents a joint 50th birthday party. They party was a huge success and everyone had a great time. Some of the "old folks" had too much fun and eventually got kicked out around 12:30. I wouldn't know... I was already at home in bed by that point! I was pretty proud of my little flower centerpieces.
Sunday we rested by the pool and attempted to teach Keating to swim. He is going to need major swimming lesson, but thats a post all on its own! Overall it was a great weekend, just one of those weekends that you need another weekend to recover from!
glad you had such a nice weekend!! those centerpieces look great =)
ReplyDeletewhat sort of books are you looking for??
I'm reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks right now and it's pretty good. Usually I am NOT a fan of his writing but this is an easy read, great for summer in spite of the cheese quotient :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend!
